Usually according to the Companies Act 2013, an individual can be appointed to the post of a director. The director is appointed by the shareholders. Besides an individual, a company, an association or a firm cannot be appointed as a director. The individual must assume the total responsibilities of running na fim and should bear the responsibility of his actions which will impact the whole organization.

A manager who has been appointed as managing director can become a managing director of another firm unless the board of directors approve of the decision.

• ● He or she should be minimum of 25 years old and maximum age is 70 years old for the director
• ● He or she should have served in a managerial position
• ● He or she should be a resident of India
