NGO Section-8 company is usually the route taken by the companies to form an NGO. The NGO could be registered as a Trust or Society. The NGO as such is governed by the companies Act 2013, which is an act for registering as limited companies.
Under section 8 of the company’s act, a section-8, the company can be registered for promoting commerce, art, sports, science, education, research, social-welfare, religion, charity, environment etc.
The section-8 should be using the profits made by itself for the promotion of its cause and should not pay the dividend to its members.
